The Real Jeal Reel

Postby Jeal79 on Sun Aug 01, 2010 3:14 pm

Just made a thread in another forum to catalogue all/most of my artistic work.

My PS3Trophies page has been taken down :( - They reset their forum
Now I'll just be keeping my work in this thread

EDIT - SHOGUN-CAL was nice enough to make me a video with al my work in it. Here's the vid:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT... made quite a few SARPBC sigs now so I'll post some up here:

...I also made Shogun-Cal's sig and M1k3Rules' sig here on these forums, but neither of them are based on SARPBC.

EDIT No. 2:
I want somewhere to log some of my fave (or most memorable) threads so I might as well keep them here:

Lol. My computer monitor is about 15" and is an old fashioned "block" - not a HD or flatscreen. Hell, its so old that its hard to even read this text as its become blurry over the years.

New monitor today. I got to look back over all the work I have made and see how everybody else has seen it. Some of it is OK, but some of it has definitely suffered from not being able to see properly through my old blurry monitor.

...Infact I'm inspired to create a whole new batch of sigs now I can see what I'm doing so much better

No charge. I make sigs for fun and am actually looking forward to making a new one now I can actually see what I'm doing!! lol.
Just post up what you'd like on the sig and try to be as specific as possible.

Download from YouTube using a site like Keepvid.
Save the .flv or .mp4 (depending on which you choose to download) and then use a video converter to convert the file to .mov
Now you have the video saved as .mov format it will be compatible with Adobe ImageReady
Simply open ImageReady and drag the .mov file into the open ImageReady window.
It will ask you to select the time frame you wish to use and how many frames (such as every 3rd frame etc)
*** I strongly recommend not using too many frames or the final .gif is going to be too big
Finally select to see the image in "optimised" view from the tab in the main image window and play around with the optimisation settings keeping an eye on the eventual file size (shown at the bottom of the image window)
When ready, chose "Save Optimised As..." from the file menu and this will save your .gif anim

Ok specific, umm
The frame is in the shape of a Katana (samurai sword) and has blood dripping from the tip. On the katana is GAME-OVER engraved onto the sword.

If thats abit to much then tell me and I'll think of something else, or if you need it to be a bit more specific tell me.

k. I'll just take my time finding the images I want to use and then make it ready for when you get back.

I'm having fun looking for the images I need already though. I might have even found a new desktop wallpaper.

Your sigs are all awesome :)

I'm pretty new to Photoshop (well GIMP really) and I've made a few sigs over the last few months. Ended up making one earlier with some New KZ3 screenshots. :)

Thanks, but honestly, I can see a few flaws in them since upgrading my monitor.

The sigs I make from here on in will be better

It comes from experience. Making sigs for people on other forums when they have just said something vague like "something with guns and silver writing" only to be asked once you've spent an hour or 2 on it and finished it to change it because its not quite how they wanted it
CbodHotRod wrote:Hey thanks Jeal. Now all i need is the program :eyes:

Which program are you missing? The video conversion software or ImageReady? I kinda thought you might have ImageReady as it comes with Photoshop
