what are the punishments on the forum for 'spamming'?

1) first warning via personal message
2) 3-day ban
3) 7-day ban
4) permanent ban

is this right?

and are there ip-bans or account bans?

i'm just interested

And it's at the moderators discretion.

AKA, you might get a warning, then a ban. or you might just be banned outright forever depending on my mood. It's not fair, but I like it better.

Could be an hour ban, a day, a year. 423 minutes, even.

The forum relates to the game (not the other way around). The forum is FOR the game, the game is not FOR the forum.

The discussions in the forum are categorized based on game, note that there is a category about SARB, and the forums are on psyonix.com, not Battle-Cars.com, so the forums are the psyonix forums, with categories for all of our games (even though it only has SARB for now). Additional categories exist for off topic chat, and moderator banter, which you are not privileged to.

That's why the very first bit of text under the banner icon is "Board index ‹ Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars ‹ General Discussion" and "Board index ‹ Off-Topic ‹ Off-Topic." Board < Category < Forum, each one further categorizing the threads contained within.

Thus, questions and discussions about the forums are not directly related to the game, so they go in OT.
