[Steam PC] You've lost your save data or you cannot progress anymore?
If you're stuck getting reset back to yesterday's progress and can't get any farther, it's likely that Steam Cloud Sync has a corrupted file and won't take in your current save anymore. The fastest course of action is to turn off Steam Cloud Sync, which should help in this case.

Here's a solution from reddit that has been helpful for some. If it works for you then let me know!

  1. In ~/Documents/My Games/Rocket League/TAGame/SaveData/DBE_Production/ there are all your save files.
  2. Sort the SaveData by descending date.
  3. Find your 2nd-to-latest save data (probably 3 and 4 from the top).
  4. Move your last two (corrupted) *.save files to a new folder.
  5. Rename the two most recent (non-corrupted) save files to the two that you just moved. (One will probably end in "_2").
  6. DISABLE STEAM CLOUD SYNC! and Start Rocket League.

It will probably work but you aren't finished. Your save data is most likely corrupted in the Steam cloud, so we gotta fix that. Here's how:

  1. Quit Rocket League
  2. Disable Steam Cloud sync.
  3. Delete all files in this folder: /Steam/userdata/STEAM_ID/252950
  4. Start Rocket League and wait a minute or so.
  5. Quit Rocket League and Steam
  6. Delete remotecache.vdf in /Steam/userdata/STEAM_ID/252950.
  7. Start Steam
  8. Enable Steam Cloud sync for Rocket League.
  9. Wait a few seconds... If nothing happens, try to start Rocket League.
  10. Steam Cloud Sync Conflict should open!
  11. Go back to /Steam/userdata/SteamID/AppID and delete ALL the files in it (WHILE the Sync Conflict dialog is still open!)
  12. Go back to the Cloud Sync Conflict dialog and click on "Upload to the Steam Cloud". Steam will sync your AppID folder with nothing in it, and basically delete all cloud files for Rocket League.
  13. Rocket League should start! Fix all your settings and anything and quit Rocket League.
  14. Wait for Steam to resync your new non-corrupted data with the Cloud.
  15. Start Rocket League again and confirm you fixed everything!

Your controller doesn't work in Rocket League
If you have a DirectInput controller (not an Xbox 360 style controller), then you have to plug it in and let it discover and install before you launch the game. In-game detection of DirectInput controllers is really expensive, and so we don't do it.

Have you tried different USB ports? A lot of times the front ones are too weak for controllers (where people want to plug them in).

If that's not it, send a dxdiag dump to support, and tell them the controller doesn't work. We're going to improve compatibility soon! Thanks for helping!

Your game doesn't start

First, make sure you have the pre-requisites installed. Steam should take care of this, but sometimes it installs the wrong version. These can be found in the _CommonRedist folder of your steam game files.

Next, make sure Steam is running, and that you are signed in to it on an account that owns the game. If it doesn't work when you run through Steam, try restarting Steam. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your PC.

If none of those worked, send us your log. If that doesn't help, send us your log, and any dmp files in the following location:

<My Documents>/My Games/Rocket League/TAGame/Logs

Send them to support, with a short blurb about your problem.

I have this problem where the banner in the client is saying I'm offline but matchmaking works fine. I've already set my security settings to medium... Any idea what to add as an exception and see if that helps?

Jerad I just broke my RL. Changing my resolution to try and sort out OBS streaming (hook me up when I get it done please :D ) and I changed the resolution super low and now the game won't open. Is there a big red undo button?

Those settings are stored in <My Documents>\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Config\TASystemSettings.ini

Delete it, and it will regenerate with default settings.

Hi there. I got this game on the day it released and so far ive enjoyed it. but i cant get onto multiplayer. ive tried uninstalling it and re installing it and it keeps saying the same things " you are not online, please connect to the internet" and " there are 0 servers online" I dont know if you's are still fixing the multiplayer or not but can someone help me.

Both of those messages are actually incorrect messages that are a result of the server problems Psyonix had. They're temporary and will be fixed soon. Here's a thread of people confused about the same message.

The offline message is actually THE offline message, but in the first patch we disabled getting the new message because it was killing us. We'll add it back next update. Sorry for the confusion!

The 0 people online is also known, we're not updating the number on our side because it's too expensive, until we can optimize it to be faster (soon).

It runs fine on Windows 7, but the specs of the PC will determine how well (CPU, RAM, etc)
